The RESET Challenge is the latest branch of the STRONG Life Movement taking place at YMCA’s all over the country! The STRONG Life challenges include weekly motivation and accountability forward prompts sent via text message to keep all participants going strong. The overall goal of the challenge is to focus on your personal health journey with the encouragement and assistance of a like-minded community. The initiative focuses on measuring your achievements in ways that better your overall lifestyle – mind, body, and spirt – as opposed to a number or measurement (but those achievements are definitely celebrated as well!)
Weekly, you’ll receive three texts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Monday’s text will kick off the week with a theme introduction and motivation from Challenge Founders, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. Wednesday’s text will keep you going with motivation from your local YMCA community. Friday’s text will end the week with a bang and you’re encouraged to share your weekly progress with our STRONGLife community groups, both LOCAL and NATIONWIDE.
You do not have to be a member to participate. This challenge is free to all! Some aspects of the challenge (ie: member benefits like specific group classes) would require a membership.
The overall goal of the challenge is for us to serve as the ultimate workout buddy – keeping you accountable to achieve your personal goals! Those goals can be elaborate like training for a marathon or as simple as getting up from your desk at home and getting some fresh air for 30 minutes. No matter what you aim to do, we’re here to help!
If you need more motivation, we’re offering up a prize for the most committed challengers! Download this punch-card and punch it every time you’re active for 30 minutes or more (one punch per day). When your card is punched, write your name and contact information on the back and drop it at the YMCA to be entered into an awesome raffle!
