The Y is here for your family through these challenging times!
Giving children the building blocks necessary to develop physically, spiritually and intellectually is the foundation of the YMCA of Pawtucket’s affordable child care programs. Our programs are staffed by people that understand children and the need they have to feel connected and supported when learning and taking on new endeavors. By participating in YMCA child care programs, babies establish trust and security; preschoolers cultivate literacy skills; and school-age children make friends while immersed in educational and athletic activities that increase their confidence to be productive and successful.
The YMCA of Pawtucket’s child care programs are for children between the ages of six weeks and 13 years old. The programs are operated at 18 sites, many of which are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. They are located throughout Rhode Island and licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families. Child care is offered year-round and attendees have access to an array of YMCA programs such as swimming and youth sports.
New for the 2020-21 school year, we offer full day childcare and support for distance learning. This program will support pre-K through middle school. It has been designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for your children to complete their distance learning requirements and have fun at the same time! It will include:
- Engaging, healthy physical activities
- Consistent, stable groups
- Games, arts and crafts, and much more!
FOR A BETTER US.
The YMCA of Pawtucket is comprised of five branches across the state: Pawtucket Family YMCA and Heritage Park YMCA Early Learning Center in Pawtucket, MacColl YMCA in Lincoln, Westwood YMCA in Coventry and Woonsocket YMCA.
With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, strengthening communities is our cause. At the Y, we believe that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
