Jr. Celtics Academy
Jr. Celtics Academy in partnership with the YMCA of Pawtucketbrings to you Jr. Celtics Academy Leagues. A 12-week program that provides participants a one-of-a-kind experience on and off the court, helping to provide a holistic perspective into what it means to be a Boston Celtic. Participants will learn basketball fundamentals in a safe and positive environment, where they can build confidence, leadership and the gameplay ability, while gaining a true love for the sport. Learn the values of both the Boston Celtics and the YMCA today!
About the Program
The Jr. Celtics Academy is offered to kids ages 3 - 12 who are interested in developing their basketball skills. Our program is run by staff and volunteers who have a passion for basketball. The program costs $200 for Members and $250 for Guests. Financial Aid is available on a case-by-case basis. To apply for Financial Aid, please email Brie at briesmith@ymcapawt.org.
Everyone participant will receive a jersey to wear to practice each week as well as you will be invited to participate in a variety of fun activities such as:
- Draft Day: November 2024
- League Clinic: December 15th, 2024
- Watch Party: January 25th, 2025
- Award Ceremony: February 15th, 2025
*The Pawtucket Family YMCA has a grant to provide scholarships for this program. If you live in Pawtucket or Central Falls, you may qualify. Please email Shelly at smillett@ymcapawt.org for more information.
Jr. Celtics Academy at MacColl
The Jr. Celtics Academy at the MacColl YMCA will be hosted on Wednesday nights starting on November 6th. Practices will be as follows:
- 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Pre-K & Kindergarten
- 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Grade
- 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm: 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade

The Jr. Celtics Academy at the Pawtucket Family YMCA will be hosted on Saturday mornings starting on November 9th. Practices will be as follows:
- 9 am - 10 am: Pre-K & Kindergarten
- 10 am - 11 am: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Grade
- 11 am - 12 pm: 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade
