24-Hour Relay 2026

Join the Black Marlins Swim Team for one of our most exciting traditions, the 24 Hour Relay. Over the course of 24 consecutive hours, our swimmers work together to keep someone in the water at all times, demonstrating teamwork, perseverance, and dedication while raising funds to support the future of our program.

This event is more than an endurance challenge. Every lap swum helps provide scholarship opportunities for swimmers, supports team-building experiences, and ensures that every athlete has the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete regardless of financial circumstances. Funds raised through the relay help reduce barriers to participation while strengthening the overall experience for every member of the Black Marlins Swim Team.

Throughout the event, swimmers, families, alumni, coaches, YMCA members, and the community are invited to stop by, cheer on the team, and support the relay through donations. The energy, encouragement, and community spirit make this one of the most memorable events of the year.

Swimmers are encouraged to seek support from family, friends, neighbors, and local businesses. As a thank you for their fundraising efforts, every swimmer who raises $25 or more will receive an exclusive 24 Hour Relay T-shirt.

Whether you make a donation, cheer from the pool deck, or participate in the relay, your support helps create opportunities for young athletes to develop confidence, build lifelong friendships, and experience the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance through competitive swimming at the YMCA.
