Evening Extended Care at the YMCA
Our Evening Extended Care Program gives families a safe and comforting option for childcare during nighttime hours. Children unwind with arts, games, stories, and calming end-of-day routines in a warm, supervised environment. Open from 6 pm to 12 am, Monday through Friday, this program offers flexible scheduling and the ability for parents to leave the Y while their child enjoys structured care.
Families receive real-time updates through the Procare app, including check-in and check-out times, messages, and activity highlights. Parents provide a nut-free, no-heat dinner, and reservations can be made by the hour or in a discounted full 6-hour block.
A great fit for busy schedules, work shifts, or simply a dependable evening option—Extended Care helps your child end the day feeling relaxed, supported, and ready for home.
Where Care Is Held
Extended Care takes place inside Magic Minds Academy, conveniently located at the MacColl YMCA in Lincoln, RI. This dedicated childcare space offers a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment designed with children in mind.
You can feel confident knowing that safety is our top priority. There will always be CPR and First Aid certified staff on-site, and all team members have completed a BCI check and are cleared through DCYF. Families can trust that their child is in the care of trained, vetted, and supportive professionals every evening.
