MacColl Childcare

The MacColl YMCA offers superior early childhood education and before and after school programs for youngsters ages 18 months to 13 years old at the Rhode Island Department of Human Services licensed sites in Lincoln and Cumberland. Services also are available to North Providence families.

MacColl’s YMCA childcare programs feature:

• Safe and accessible age-appropriate environments conducive to learning.
• Professionally trained directors, counselors, teacher assistants and aides, who are required to complete 20 hours of training each year.
• Homework assistance.
• Sibling discounts.
• Fee discounts with MacColl YMCA memberships.
• Working relationships between staff members and parents.
• Before and after school program for children in kindergarten to grade 6.

Childcare is available Monday through Friday. The hours are specific to each location and age group and can be obtained from the member services office. Elementary School and Middle School before and after care are from 7 am to school start time and from school end time to 5:45 pm.

Because the YMCA believes all children deserve the chance to realize their potential and live a healthy life, financial assistance is available to families in need. Applications are available at the member services desk, and there is a three-week processing period. Registration and attendance fees are nonrefundable, and child care fees must be paid by the Friday prior to the week the care will be provided.
