Traditional Day Camp Schedule

Look into what happens during each block of the day to learn more about our daily camp schedule.

Ropes Ropes

Camp begins at 7:00am. Campers enjoy recreational time on the basketball court for the first 30 minutes. This recreation time includes pickleball, floor hockey, small crafts, and more. These change from day to day. At 7:30 am counselors offer an organized game or activity based off mind, body and spirit.

All Campers coming to camp should be dropped off during this time. We do an out of car drop off. Parents park and walk their camper to check in. Here we can make sure they are ready for the day and relay any necessary information. Bus schedule can be found on our website but all buses should arrive by 8:45.

Morning Assembly is a time that we all of camp gathers to start the day. We start each day with a value lesson reflecting our Y values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring. We sing camp songs, perform skits, make announcements or issue challenges for the day. This is a fun way to bring our camp community together and get ready for the camp day.

It is time for the fun to start. Campers make their way to their first activity. Youngest Campers swim at the start of the day and should come to camp in their bathing suits. We do this to limit changing times and extend program time.

Each activity block is 65 minutes long. These are designed to give campers enough time to enjoy each activity without feeling rushed. It also allots for campers to perform set up and cleaning teaching respect of the activity and the responsibility in caring for the equipment.

Lunch is provided by Camp! No need to pack something in the morning. Our menu is emailed to parents ahead of the camp week. We also account for dietary restrictions which are input at registration. We eat family style to promote community and conversation. Campers can bring their own snack but it must not require heating or preperation.

Campers have over 70 activities offered at camp. There is no shortage on experience. In fact parents should know that even if a camper comes all summer they may not et to every set activity. This is because we also input  themed or specialized weekly programs to always keep up the fun!

We encourage every camper to give activities a try. We operate under challenge by choice. This means campers can choose the challenge they are taking on at each activity. Sometime this mean swinging at the top of our 100ft pendulum giant swing while other campers are just ready to strap in. Everyone tries, and everyone goes a bit further than they thought they could.

Every camper can purchase snack from our trading post. Typically drinks are ice tea, Gatorade or flavored water. Snacks include chips, goldfish, Welches's fruit snacks and more. Campers can also get a special treat of ice cream. A free snack of fruit or bag snacks are made available to campers. Families can pack snacks for their camper as well. Please know it is against policy for campers to trade snacks.

Much like Morning Assembly this brings all of our campers back together. Here we review the day, sing more songs and act more skits. We award beads for campers who represented our core values.

Campers riding the bus make their way to the buses.

Campers doing pick up on camp head to the basketball court. Here they have free play till their name is called for pick up. Parents meet at the check out tent and must have an ID. Campers will be called and they will meet at the gate.

Campers will enjoy an activity of their groups choice till call upon by pick up. This can include the playground, the kangaroo jumper, archery, sports, a craft or more.
