Counselors

Camp counselors are 18+ or 17 and have gone though our Counselors in Training Program. Counselors must clear state required background checks before employment. Staff must attend a minimum of 1 week of staff training or equivalent. We look for staff who have previous experience caring for children, have a love for the outdoors and can keep up with the long physically active camp day. Camp is a great fit for those who can teach their hobbies, are looking to learn new skills and have a positive mentality.

We offer on site training to lifeguards, high ropes, archery and other programs. Staff are expected to lead and assist with all programs on camp. 

We frontload that prospective staff should understand the responsibility to care for others children. Keeping them safe and having a positive experience is a large responsibility and not to be pursued without that understanding. 

Program Coordinator -

Our programs coordinator oversees our specialty and immersive camps. This person should have a love for the themes of the program we host. Some include Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pirate Adventure, Survivor, Culinary, and Sports to name a few.

Activities Coordinator -

Our Activities Coordinator oversees our program schedule and team making sure that counselors and their groups are where they need to be and have what they need to run great programs. This individual should be familiar with high ropes, crafts, sports, and other camp activities.

Waterfront Coordinator -

The Waterfront coordinator leads the aquatics programs here at camp. We have our normal swim, boating, a waterslide, and we plan to add more aquatic activities each summer. The person set for this role must have an existing Red Cross Lifeguard certification. If needed we will train you for the additional waterfront certification necessary. They must also be able to pass the annual RIDEM Non-surf lifeguard test. The coordinator should be familiar with and able to teach staff canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and sailing.
