The Heritage Park YMCA Early Childhood Center is equipped with an abundance of materials and equipment that allows attendees to develop their minds and bodies. An assessment system assists the well-trained staff with supporting the strengths of each child as he or she learns new skills and experiences enrichment activities such as swimming and dance.
To encourage family and community involvement in the childhood development process, the Heritage Park staff works with a robust Parent Advisory Committee and organizes and promotes events, including family nights, preschool graduations and celebrations of holidays and other significant dates.
During school and summer vacation weeks, activity-rich day camp programs aimed at continuing the learning process are conducted. Children participate in field trips, presentations by skilled artisans and other meaningful activities, some of which are connected to weekly themes. Families that have memberships at Heritage Park also have privileges at the Family YMCA.
Heritage Park YMCA programs by age group are:
Ages: 6 Weeks to 18 Months
Positive attention and care focuses on the development of each child and equips even infants with essential skills for learning. In addition, the infant program uses the Watch Me Grow assessment tool to monitor development.

Children learn to communicate, cooperate and care about each other, and low child to staff ratios ensure attendees receive individualized attention. Supervised free time gives children opportunities to acquire socialization skills or to spend time alone engrossed in a favorite activity.
