The Aquatics Director develops, organizes and implements high quality, member-focused YMCA aquatic programs using an indoor pool and three outdoor pools. The Aquatics Director manages and schedules outdoor community pool rentals and directly supervises the Assistant Aquatics Director/Swim Coach and oversees swim team and coaching activities.
The YMCA of Pawtucket is seeking a part time bus driver for 20-25 hours per week during the school year with the possibility of a greater number of hours during the summer. Must have a valid Rhode Island CDL driver's license and a valid School bus white card. Experience preferred, willing to train viable candidates. The School Aged Child Care Site Director is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the school age child care site and will plan, lead, and evaluate group experiences. This position operates at a specific school age site. We are looking for someone to provides high quality recreational experiences for children that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

The Afterschool childcare counselor is responsible for the daily supervision of after-school program participants grades K-8. S/he is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of program components and program activities in the after-school program. The Leader guides the academic and social development of children; ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. Group Leaders use a variety of resources, provided by the After-School Site Director to introduce new skills throughout the execution of activities. To accomplish this, Afterschool Childcare Counselors are required to participate in 20 hours of DCYF approved professional development and planning sessions with the After-School Site Director on a scheduled basis. Under the guidance of the Preschool Director/ Educational Coordinator, the Lead Teacher shall have the responsibility for the overall operation of the assigned classroom. The Lead Teacher insures that the classroom maintains the standards of instruction that are developmentally appropriate and consistent with curriculum frameworks for the age group of the classroom. The Teacher shares in the vision of the center and supports the mission of the YMCA of the USA.
The Lead Teacher shall have an AA or BA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field from an accredited college or university and hold a Level 2 Early Learning Standard Certificate or complete RIELDS certificate (Foundations and Curriculum or Classroom) within one year of hire. The Lead Teacher must have at least three month’s experience in a licensed program. The Lead Teacher must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and have the ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. The Lead Teacher must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with staff and parents and be able to develop rapport with young children. The Lead Teacher must meet DCYF, Bright Stars, and YMCA employment qualifications.
